Who we are: ProvenAlpha is made by PureStoryLabs, which runs this site and decides how your data is used. To reach us, use the "Challenge a score" form at the bottom of this page, or reply to any of our emails.

When you join the waitlist we keep your email, a random signup code, the version of the page you saw, the campaign tags in the link you came from, and the time. We don't keep your IP address. We use your email only to send what you signed up for.

The three questions after signup: your answers, up to 3 account handles you type, and any message you send. These are tied to your signup code, not your email. Handles are only used to choose which accounts we grade next and are never shown. Links in messages are removed.

Challenge a score: your note, and your email only if you give one.

Analytics: PostHog counts visits and records how the page is used (session replay), with everything you type hidden. It gets a random visitor id, never your email. Vercel counts page views.

PostHog also receives your IP address with each visit.

Cookies: pa_v remembers which version of the page you saw, pa_vid is a random visitor id, and PostHog sets its own cookies to tell visits apart. pa_pin remembers which campaign link you came from, and pa_privacy remembers that your region or browser turned tracking off. None of them holds your email.

Ads: when our X or Reddit ads run, their pixels on this page receive your visit and the fact that you signed up, counted by the signup code, never your email. California law can treat that as sharing.

We never sell the email list.

Visitors from the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland get no ad pixels, no session replay and no tracking cookies.

If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, the ad pixels stay off. We don't read the Do Not Track setting.

How long we keep it: your email, until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Analytics, for PostHog's standard period: 1 year for events and 30 days for session replays.

Challenge notes and contact messages are kept for 24 months, then deleted.

Why we use your data: your email because you asked us to (you can withdraw by unsubscribing at any time); site analytics, and grading public posts, because we have a legitimate interest in running and measuring the site and the record.

Our providers (PostHog, Vercel, Supabase, Apify and OpenAI) may process data outside your country, in Canada and the United States.

Your rights: you can ask to see the data we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Use the "Challenge a score" form at the bottom of this page, or reply to any of our emails.

Before the product opens we send two emails: a welcome email and one when it opens.
